My wife and I have been using AutoService 1 (Kedzie location) for a couple of years now, and there is no where else we'd go! Ivan and German are both awesome - they are transparent, honest, and will do whatever it takes to achieve the highest level of service. Whether it's been a major suspension repair, or a simple key fob replacement, my wife and I have always felt prioritized by the Team at AS1. I can't recommend this shop enough, and as long as we live in Chicago we will be loyal customers.

Brought in a 2019 Impreza for an inspection, new battery, oil change, and TPMS. Prices were on point and there were no surprises. There was no upsell after the inspection. The technician just reviewed what to do when in keeping with the maintenance schedule. The interactions with the staff there was both professional and courteous. This was my first visit and I plan to do future maintenance there.

Love coming to this place and the people working there are great working with. I have a buddy that's worked with cars all his life back in FL and I always tell him quoted repair prices before committing. He's always been surprised how reasonable this place is (adjusted for Chi of course). People are friendly and do good work. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a new shop.

⚠️ CAUTION – Read this before you take your car here!I came to this shop because my steering wheel was really hard to turn and I was leaking steering fluid. The advisors didn’t seem to know much about cars, but they told me I needed a new power steering pump. Fine — I told them to go ahead. Then they called back saying my rack and pinion was bad too. I told them I had just replaced it not long ago and it was still under warranty. They said to bring another one so I could exchange the faulty one.They installed it and obviously charged for the install. I picked up my car — only to bring it back the same day. The boots were completely warped, like they had no idea how to install it right. They told me it was “just the boot” and tried to fix it, but it still looked terrible, and the leak was still there.I ended up taking my car to the dealer, who told me straight up that the power steering pump was installed wrong and leaking. The dealer also said my rack and pinion might be bad and that the steering fluid cooler was leaking too. I paid over $200 for that inspection just to confirm what I already suspected.I brought everything back to Auto 1, and they confirmed what the dealer said. Th

This place is great. I will never go somewhere else for my car. They go above and beyond anytime I take my car to the shop. They are extremely detailed, explain everything as much as possible, work as quickly as possible, and try to keep cost minimal while still providing excellent parts and service. German is great. He knows everything about cars, does his best to keep cost down, and really takes the time to explain issues and allow the customer to make decisions on what to prioritize. He is kind, honest, and a pleasure to work with. Ivan is super friendly and helpful and an excellent communicator. EVERYONE on their staff is awesome and really go above and beyond for customers. This place really cares! One of the only places that actually provides high quality customer service. I highly highly recommend!
